NEW HOURS AND NOOK COLOR NOW AVAILABLE AT THE LIBRARYStarting January 3rd, we have new hours at the library!Monday: 2 PM - 5 PMTuesday-Wednesday: 9 AM - 7 PMThursday-Friday: 11 AM - 5 PMSaturday: 9 AM - 5 PMSunday: CLOSED
Also new, are our NOOK COLORS!
They come pre-loaded with 55+ books, like The Hunger Games, the newest Flavia DeLuce book: I Am Half-Sick of Shadows, and books for the kids like Berenstein Bears. There are also games, like Chess and Crossword puzzles. You can also connect them to your home or preferred public wi-fi connection --like here in the library, to surf the net. We have three available for check out at the front desk, for 14 day loans. You MUST show a drivers license every time you check one out and they MUST be returned to a librarian at the Augusta Library. We do ask that you do NOT download anything onto the Nooks yourself. If you have questions, ask a staff member.
With the popularity of the e-book readers, we want you to be aware of how your library can help you get the best use out of your new reader. Books are downloadable through the WPLC Digital Books website. In order to use this website, you need to know that you are a part of the Indianhead Federated Library System and you will need your library card number to log in. Because of the high numbers of patron use, there ARE limited electronic copies of each book, so there may be quite a waiting-list on popular titles. Similar to MORE, you can make holds or a wish-list.
With so many activities happening at the library, we want to keep you updated. Along with a new look to our calendar and other items making their way to the website, we are now listing events on our Facebook fan page as well as our blog.
